Meeting with Zara and Peggy (5.5)

In this meeting we discussed mainly what our sound would be and what we want our audience to feel. Zara suggested we see the film ‘threads’ its about a bleak, post apocalyptic world where society breaks down. She suggested this because of how people speaks in the film and how they lose the power of speech which could be useful for our drama. I also talked to Peggy about finding someone for Red as she had sent me an email about a girl but because she was at school she could only do weekends which didn’t fit with our current actor. She gave me another name which i could email so i did after the meeting. Zara also suggested i resend her the casting call as it sounded too unprofessional.

BA: Look for more props and working on foley sounds

Producer: Email peggy again about casting Red and ‘Thug’

Meeting 4

In person

In this meeting we had just had the workshop where Peggy and Zara invited actors to the university as a way to introduce us to older actors for our drama, this was perfect for us as we needed an older man to play ‘Edward’ in our drama. We met Eddie who was part of the amateur dramatics group in Lincoln. Where we went into the studio together and got him to read different scripts for us. As time went on we molded it towards our character of Edward. after this session i got his details so i could contact him later.

During this meeting we agreed that we liked Eddie and i made a note to call him later to ask if he was free to play the part.

We already had a first draft of the scripts, we went over it as a group to make any changes we felt necessary.

I put out a casting call on facebook on drama groups in Lincoln to find ‘Red’

To-do-List:

Director: Make changes to the script

BA: Create a full list of all the sounds we will need

Producer: Call Eddie, Email Zara and Peggy about casting Red
